The computer I'm writing this on is the only one in village we're staying in. It looks like something Mad Max would use inside a command station. Half of it appears to be blown away and its connected to the world by a giant satellite on the roof right above me. The village itself seems to be nothing more than a shanty-town. There is no hot water, there are no cell phones, there is no store of any kind, the closest hospital is twelve miles away, people rarely wear shoes and most of them sleep on the hard floors of the homes. Despite this no one complains, no one is unhappy (in fact these are the happiest people I will probably ever meet), there are no worries about money and everyone here would sacrifice everything they have for us. They don't hide the fact that they know they live in paradise and its not taking me long to feel the same way.

Oh my gosh, what an adventure you're on. It's wonderful that your are enjoying and appreciating their lifestyle and customs. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we all did that? Enjoy and keep the updates coming....I'm so very proud of you. Aunt Maggie
